42 inch LCD HDTV Review

I have a 42 inch philips plasma tv, and for some reason last night when I was watching it the picture just went out, and I have turned it one and off a few times since and hte picture doesnt come back on. The volume is on but I cant see a picture, even when I go to the tv menu or anything.
What do I do? its not under warranty any longer. WHo can I call to fix it? or is it just better to buy a new one?
