42 inch LCD HDTV Review

i have a 42 inch Hitachi tv that i bought in 1995. its pretty big and the picture is jumping when i watch it. sometimes i hit the top of the tv lightly and it stops for a minute but it still keeps on jumping. what is wrong with my tv and how can i fix it?
