Did I mention this TV fits most 36" cabinets?

With its low profile frame its the perfect solution for those that have invested a little too heavily in entertainment centers for their old 36" direct view TVs. The only downside is that you may have to remove the doors but it will usually fit, and you'll need the optional stand to make this work.

Like all Panasonic plasmas, this little unit offers an amazing picture and color reproduction with more settings and display options than you could ever use. The TV also has a built in Zoom feature which comes in handy on special occasions. And the "A" specific industrial model was upgraded with 2 HDMI ports but still has an available slot for adding more HDMI, DVI, or other inputs your system may require. It does have built in component video inputs but they are BNC type connectors so you will need 3 adapters for your RCA type cables before connecting.

All in all its a 5 star product from Panasonic. The remote is easy to navigate, the manual is well written and easy to translate, but as you may already know this plasma does not have a built in tuner, so you'll either need a cable or satellite tuner which is not a problem for most people making this a centerpiece in a home theater setup.

A word of caution though, HDTV is addictive.....just when you get comfortable with your new 42" Panny you may be struck with a deep regret you didn't go for the 50" model. That happened to me twice, and I am now the proud but TV poor owner of a 42", 50", and 58" Panasonic plasma. 5 Pixels

Samsung Hp-t4264 42 Inch Plasma Tv. Vertical Banding The Last 2 Days. Has Anyone Else Encountered This?

The last 2 days there are vertical lines across the entire screen. 32 lines alternating Red/Green, about 1 pixel wide. I have tried unplugging the set for an hour, all the screen restore options, and it is the same whether I am watching cable, DVD, games, and even with no source connected. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. I bought the set new 4 months ago. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sharp 42 Inch Aquos Lcd Hdtv Or Panasonic 42inch Plasma Hdtv?

Basically debating on weather I should get either the
Sharp Aquos 42 inch LCD HDTV with 1080p which also comes with a hometheater system for 2000 dollars from futureshop.
Or should I get a Panasonic 42inch Flat Panel- Plasma HDTV with 720p, and it also omes with a home theater system all of 1800 dollars… The price really doesnt matter, Im just wondering what would be a better buy for my family. We need a TV to watch mainly televison shows in our family room, but also for gaming and watched hd movies… Reccomendations?
